What Can I Flip With X GP? OSRS Flipping by Capital Tier

The most common flipping question is "what should I flip with my gold?" — and the honest answer depends almost entirely on how much you have, because flipping profit scales with capital.

Small bankroll (under ~1M)

With little gold, focus on high-volume, low-price items that fill instantly and let you cycle many times — runes, ammo, common supplies, low-tier gear. Margins are tiny, so the GE tax matters most here (tax explained); avoid anything where 2% eats the whole margin. The F2P board and F2P guide are built for this tier.

Mid bankroll (~1M–50M)

Now you can spread across more items and start hitting buy limits on mid-value gear, supplies and consumables. Diversify so you're never idle waiting on one 4-hour limit (buy limits), and lean toward consistent, liquid items over hyped ones that crowd and crash.

Large bankroll (50M+)

At this level the constraint is buy limits, not capital — you'll deploy across many high-value items (high-tier gear, bulk consumables) and the profit ceiling (margin × limit) per item is what matters. This is also where slower merching plays become viable, with the bigger risk that implies.

Whatever tier you're at, the geflips board has budget chips (under 2M / 10M / 50M) that filter flips to what your gold can actually fill, with capital-at-risk shown per item — so you see the right flips for your bankroll, post-tax.

However much you have, flipping grows it slowly and steadily, not overnight (honest expectations). Never automate the GE. Not affiliated with Jagex; not financial advice.
